It is relevant that Eric later purchased a game he downloaded. People used to "share" their music/game collections with their friends before the internet existed, by hanging out and experiencing it together. Then, afterwards, they might go out and buy the records themselves. Now, we simply have people sharing stuff on the internet, and they are labeled pirates, but if those 'pirates' were purchasing stuff then balance would be restored... However, the problem is that the money has a hard time finding the creative people who worked on the game in the first place, it usually is first absorbed by suits. Therefore, potential buyers are discouraged from purchasing in the first place. "Piracy" is a rejection of a current business model.

I hate activision and their strategy of milking things, but this has seemed like a promising game.

Don't buy on launch though, wait until it goes down in price, the inflated cost of activision's plastic is disgusting. buy used or something.
