Metareview: Skyrim

Nov 14th 2011 4:35PM (Joystiq)
@Teus They may have fixed the gold bug, but the item replication trick was never fixed in Oblivion, which had the same end result of basically unlimited funds. It was also possible in Fallout 3 and NV. Haven't tried to see if its possible in Skyrim, though I doubt it since it's a totally new engine.

AC was my first MMO, played it for years, and always went back to it after quitting games like AC2, FFXII, SWG, and WoW. My online handle eventually even evolved into the name of my favorite AC server... I love hearing from all the former AC players who recognize my name in game.

I admire the dedication of the folks who've stuck with it all this time, and though I don't think I'll ever be an active player again, I'll always have the fond memories of my time in Dereth :)

I'm a little worried about the stations as a hub too, ESPECIALLY for Republic for the exact reasons you outlined. It'll be interesting to see how this is dealt with post launch, if it indeed poses a problem to the community. It's hard to tell from the relatively small beta server populations.

Volition staffer: Red Faction: Armageddon's problem was 'consistency'

Oct 31st 2011 1:10PM (Joystiq)
I actually liked Armageddon. Guerrilla was certainly the better game, but Armageddon had a bit more focus to questions, something difficult to achieve with the former's sandbox format.

Assuming they continue to make these, I'd be okay with a non-sandbox format, but agree with other posters about more destructibility to environments.

Editorial: The broken, sputtering launch of Battlefield 3 online multiplayer

Yeah this has been pretty unacceptable. What really angers me most is how GOOD the game is, but issues like this really just drag down the overall experience. I'm sure they'll get resolved in time, but EA needs to get their shit together pronto.

@dpaul420 Rage. Also make no mistake, Rage is in no way a HD version of Fallout 3. Its a full blown FPS. Fallout is an RPG.
