Epic article !!! #3 is why I am always focused 110% while tanking, one mistake can lead to a raid wipe and I feel bad.

The only item I'd add to the list is; Can you handle the responsibility of marking pulls? Maybe it's my guild or my server (Norgannon) But apparently... if your tanking your marking!!! which requires a bit of knowledge, What can / cant be CC'd by whatever class's in your party / raid. It also creates the tempo of your run. I won't pull until I see all the CC classes have there targets...targeted, and that can slow things down. I always run ahead as soon as a pull in downed to start marking the next pull, this makes some people feel like I'm rushing them. There is a very delicate balance in there somewhere. I just think it's an issue worth mentioning here on Tank Talk.

1) 10 man raids
2) The size of Northrend
3) Inscription
4) Flying open at Level 77
5) Death Knights, But is reaching level 55 really an accomplishment worthy of being Knighted ?

A solution is easy to imagine, What if the Lich king Makes a last second escape [2-3% health] with some sort of Real time event, Leaving a Chest of loot unguarded in the ten man version? So the Lich King live to face your 25 man team...where he will hit harder, Enrage quicker, Have more health, have more adds, blah blah blah.....

"Will this mean people won't want to do the the 25-mans" No, and to believe or think so is foolish. Hard Core Raiders are all about loot, point their Raids in the direction of the greatest loot and watch them go....then when they see the rest of us walking around Dalaran in out 10man raiding gear they /laugh.

As for the Lore and how and why 10 or 25 man teams of level 80's can take on the Lich King; Toward the end of Frozen throne Malfurion states that Arthas will eventually begin losing his power...it's only a matter of time. It was recently revealed that player character Death Knights have broken free of the Lich Kings will.....Times up...he's beginning to Lose his powers. He's not so omnipotent, and i would be surprised if this is a major story line in the expansion.

This is by far the greatest news I have yet heard about the coming expansion. Having my Guild just fall to pieces while we were progressing into SSC and The Eye [Like so many guilds before us] I am STOKED to hear we wont have to trust new recruits and strangers to form a group of 25 to stick together and crawl through content.

I imagine once Guilds have the highest 10 man raid's on farm status with core raiders, new recruits will be progressing through the lower raids therefore building trust and familiarity. This is a great and welcome change to the dynamics of building a guild into a 25 man raiding guild.

As for the loot, Obviously the 25 man raids will have the higher tiers, But the template will be the same as the ten man Tiers...with different paint jobs. Also you can mix a set piece from the 10 man with a 25 man piece and still get the set bonus.

I experienced this same thing while trying to get the same formula, All i have to say is: Blizzard, please give us the title "King/Queen of the Ogre's" while your at it can i have "Ace Pilot" to?

I'm so glad i leveled a Warrior to 70 1st, it made leveling my pally seem like i was cheating, but when i leveled up a mage to 70 I felt sorry for Azeroth Because i beat the crap out of it.

To this day however, my pally is my main. I leveled up ret, but i've been holy for over a year now and i have no troubles doing my dailies what so ever. Yes waiting on CD's sucks but the survivability of a well geared holy pally (on PVE server) is incredible. Sure i can drop mobs in a hit or two with my Mage but throw in an add or two at the wrong time and I'm screwed, add that to the respawn rates on Quel Danas and it's not so fun anymore.

I do believe that the paladin class is a support class, and when i originally rolled this toon it was just for that purpose. I do not believe that a Holy pally is worthless in solo play, It just sounds like the OP should've rolled on a PVE server if getting ganked is that big of an issue for ya. the only complaints i have about being Holy is #1 I want H.O.T.'s #2 i want A.O.E. heals #3 Bring the mana regen Aura back!

looking forward to WOTLK i will surely be leveling my pally 1st, i have tons of gear that i will use out of kara thru SSC when i respec to ret for leveling, but only if i'm not leveling up by running dungeons.....saving that quest G for level 80 :)I wonder how much dust is on that warrior of mine ?

This is a great article Amanda, I hope you enjoy your play time with Momma. There are a few Parent / Child and Husband / Wife players in my guild including the GM. Playing with family or a loved one adds a deeper meaning to accomplishments made in game for them. "The best part are the hours I get to spend online with my daughter"-SOOO SWEET !!!!!

Don't neglect Cooking and Fishing, They might be boring at first glance but like Everything in WOW the more time you spend on something the greater the rewards are.

If you remember the lore behind the quest chain. Anyone else see the connection between Furbolg Shaman and RL Native American's and there struggle with Fire water?

this is the worst news ever. My monopoly on the fish needed to hit 300 cooking is now worthless. over 1k G made in January, yet still so far from epic birdie. If they are gonna make the cooking side easier, why not get rid of the fishing quest to level past 225.
