Octodad: A free indie game about a loving father who is also a secret octopus

That trailer is the definition of Indie.

Tiesto 'Speed Rail' music video made entirely from DJ Hero 2 footage

Oct 28th 2010 8:18PM (Joystiq)
@r4in
Next Tiesto album is being produced by Blackhole again under the Allure alias.
It has been confirmed by Arny (Co-Founder of BH with Tij's) on Twitter.

@Unverified
Tiesto's older stuff was leagues ahead of his newest album, hell even EoL was. Daft Punk is now only popular in the US because it is being raped to death by RnB artists. Dance Music has never had a presence in the US music stream and artists now like Tiesto, Rusko and David Guetta are trying to crack that market.
WIth the news that Tiesto's new album will be under Allure (his old prog-trance alias) it is obvious his plan is to try grab a mainstream US audience, then drag them into Trance.

Tiesto is actually a pretty cool guy, watch either the Asia tour DVD or behind the scenes of Elements of Life or Another day in the office and he actually seems like a pretty down to earth guy who is doing what he loves.
Deadmau5 now there is an egomaniac. Tiesto's new approach is to try crack the US market which only seems to like super cheesy crap. Rumour is that Tiesto's new album is produced under the Allure alias so it should be pretty decent progressive Trance.

Rock Band 3 review: The only rhythm game you'll ever need

Oct 22nd 2010 10:17PM (Joystiq)
Now that this whole Rock thing is done and dusted with RB3 as the champion, can we please get back to working on Amplitude (with actual dance music this time and not pop-punk) Harmonix?

Super Street Fighter IV confirmed, eight fighters added

Sep 29th 2009 2:15AM (Joystiq)
LOL WUT, how is that a comeback?

We have all the information right here, it's a few new characters, movelists and netcode, what do you think they are going to add, a full new adventure RPG mode? it's a fighting game.

patch the game for people who don't want the new characters to accept the new netcode and movelist (also unplayable models for the new characters)
Unlock the models for the people who bought the DLC, how is this hard? games do this all the time.

Don't defend Capcom being greedy, they promised updates and stuff would be released as DLC, not new games.

Super Street Fighter IV confirmed, eight fighters added

It isn't a new game, what are you people smoking?

This is just a combination of a promised patch and some leaked DLC from a few months ago.

New Netcode and Lobby was supposed to be in a patch released around October, "Dash" was DLC according to a Capcom rep a few months ago, actually if memory serves me correctly, Capcom said all new characters and stuff would be added through DLC.

Retarded choice, we are in an era of ADSL2+ and Cable, 100 megs can be downloaded in a minute, this "Game" is no more than a few hundred meg of new content, remember all DLC is just an mini expansion pack and that's all this "Super SFIV" is.

Tenchu: Accent Assassins

Jan 9th 2009 6:27PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Really actually, the British accent is closer to Japanese than the American accent, both the British accent and Japanese accent change based on status of society, also upper class Brits pronounce vowels similar to the Japanese vowel system A - "Ar" (Charnce for Chance pronounced more like "R")instead of the American version which is like a squeeky "Ah".

Now this guy has a very lower class british accent (where the American/Australian accent originally formed from mixing with Irish and scottish) which makes no sense for a upper class official like him.

Wii Brew's Wii Pack Generator delivers no-fuss homebrew

Jul 30th 2008 7:49PM (Joystiq)
Homebrew is not against the law, unlike Microsoft or Sony where you just "Hire" the console when you brought it thus adding modchips or Homebrew is against civil law, Nintendo have no such clause, you are allowed to tinker with the thing as much as you want.

'Xbox Killers' get death

Sep 23rd 2006 9:28AM (Joystiq)
I actually say the death penalty sucks, the US is still in the middle ages it seems when it comes to the law.
US if you wanna be stuck in the middle ages make it good for the rest of us and make the death penalty a little more interesting, I propose weekly gladiator battles with prisoner's on death row >>

Gaming at the Olympics? It could happen [update 2]

Jun 2nd 2006 9:55AM (Joystiq)
Skeet shooting is a olympic sport and that only involves pulling a trigger nothing else hell it has less skill than most FPS, I see no reason why CS can't be a sport and Skeet shooting is.
