Yea totally I think the humour they were looking for was the slap stick humour because its universal... I think the humour they talk about in this article is like jokes and such. Ha am I making sense? They were looking for the slapstick humour but the plot and everything isnt meant to be entirely hilarious because most Americans just dont get Japanese humour
