They way I see it, the opinions here are mixed between people who pay for Gold membership and have to justify it to themselves (telling people to get better jobs, how useful.. newsflash: some of us place our own value on goods and services and then decide if it's worth what the company is asking) and those who realize MS wants to rip people off.

They want us to pay to watch ads and possibly demos? What a great business model, really. Why not just set up coin operated, time limited ($2 for 5 minutes!) 360 machines at Toys R Us or something while they're at it. Just another reason for this individual consumer to avoid the 360.
