I agree with Ashitaka. The first couple seasons were great, but now it's pretty clear they're making it up as they go along.

I think it should be a new rule on any of these gaming blogs to keep politics off of it. This inauguration was a HUGE deal, and the intent was to make it that way. Who cares how much was spent on it?

Flaming is never a good thing, it may be funny, but it gets irritating to read, because everyone is just repeating their arguments.

It doesn't really matter, but in terms of games, would you hate it if they had the original Sub Zero on the cover of an MK game, only to be able to play as the robot Sub Zero from MK3? Probably. That's the only way I could think about it.

Calm down, buddy. We can tell you're angry. But what you're asking of Nintendo is to make an Xbox or PS3 game. Through the years, first party titles from Nintendo have always been "kiddie" games (which I will refer to as "general" games). These arguments about the lack of "hardcore" games could be applied to the Gamecube as well.

The only difference is that since the Wii is mega-popular with everyone, it's cool in the gaming community to be all, "Oh, Nintendo, you greedy bastards." I don't care if it's true. We're supposed to be a COMMUNITY here, but the only thing I've seen is everyone sniping at the company that started many of us in gaming. It's nice to see them doing well after two generations of being number 2/3.

The point of being a gamer (besides pwning bitches and calling people names over Xbox Live) is to appreciate games in general. If you don't like the Wii or Nintendo's success because it's not appealing to the hardcore audience, fine. But don't go around complaining about it like they borrowed your computer to make the games. Nintendo has, and will always, cater to a wider audience.

Remember a little system called the NES, which made Nintendo the leader in video games after Atari in the late eighties? That's because they made a system appealing to everyone, WHILST interspersing more difficult games.

I try really hard to win it from Joystiq. Failing that, I go to buy it from either Gamestop or Walmart, depending on how "specialized" it is.

I wholeheartedly agree with you on that. Looking at my Wii as I write this and considering which games I'll buy with the 360 I'll get this summer, I do understand the doom of the Wii.

Until we can get some 3rd-party games on the caliber of Galaxy, then the Wii is almost unplayable. My friends play Brawl CONSTANTLY, but frankly, I hate Brawl, and I've always hated Brawl.

I love Bioware, and I don't have a 360 because I'm a poor college student. All my friends do, though, but they're back at home!

Wii version, and the craziest solo ever has to be "Green Grass and High Tides." I nearly died in Rock Band playing it on Hard.
