They pretty much did this as incentive to encourage people like me (who only own GH3 and now face a choice whether to get RB2 or GHWT) to go with Rock Band.
Twice as many songs doesn't hurt, either..

Followed by chicken noises

So much for it not getting any attention... the site's so busy right now I can't even get on!

Because I keep touching my television screen but nothing's happening...

Because I'm still playing with my GBA... I'm in deperate need of an upgrade!

Because I spend a lot of time reading a blog about a system I don't even own yet....
