Well, the forms are down now. Now how are they supposed to give that update they promised

Obesity experts frown on Wii Fit's fatty-labeling, Nintendo apologizes

May 18th 2008 3:47AM (Joystiq)
You know, I was reading the story, and something doesn't add up. According to the story, the game took in her height and weight and labeled her as fat based on her BMI. The thing is, at 4'9" and 84lbs, it puts her BMI at ~18.17, which is underweight. Either the game isn't calculating right, or whoever initially reported this didn't get their facts straight. Does anyone know who first reported this story?

SCEE President: 'You will probably see' GTAIV DLC for PS3

May 7th 2008 9:59PM (Joystiq)
"It's unclear if Reeves is hinting at that DLC coming to Sony, entirely new DLC (also of questionable exclusivity) or absolutely nothing tangible at all."

Wait, isn't DLC intangible already?

Spore, Mass Effect to require online validation every 10 days

You know, I seem to recall Will Wright saying that an internet connection was NOT required to play the game. I guess this just goes to show that EA doesn't even care what their biggest game designer thinks.

I do think it's hilarious the the pictures are of the Xbox version of the game.

Rock Band Wii drum kit pictured, nagging questions answered

Mar 24th 2008 7:38PM (Joystiq)
OK, maybe they can't make it compatible with the GH3 controllers, but it should still integrate the Wiimote in a similar fashion, and it should still be compatible with the 3rd party controllers. Granted the Drums might be the hardest part, but if they can do it with the guitar, they can do it with the drums. As far as making the microphone wireless, THERE'S ALREADY A MICROPHONE ON THE DS! If you want a wireless microphone, you should be able to use your DS + a headset to make it happen.

As far as downloadable content goes, why can't it be put on an SD card? I know that you can't run games from an SD card, but I would think that individual songs that just have to be loaded temporarily would be easy.

It's not like I'm even going to buy the game anyway. I know there's downloadable content on the other systems, but still - why would I buy a game full of songs I don't even like. I'm sticking with GH until RB comes out with an edition with decent songs.
