You did miss something, actually. It was a hunter conversation started out by complaining about many stats they have to gear for, and admittedly, that is quite a few, but they make the claim that other classes couldn't possibly understand that situation.

My comment was playfully poking at the melodrama- yes, your situation is unfortunate, but other classes have their woes too. Sometimes, we can get too caught up in the problems of our class, and forget that we're not the only ones who have troubles.

That was the point of my comment.

Oh, come on, Hunters. I'll grant you that you have a lot of stats to look out for, but you're still DPS. At least acknowledge the tank's plight. I'm the reason the big guy doesn't just eat you when you shoot him inna face.

Okay, how about a trade- you admit that tanks have it worst, and I admit I really love your Misdirect. Cause I do.

Stamina, Expertise, Hit, Defense Rating, Dodge Rating, Block Rating, Parry Rating, Strength, AP.

If all the proceeds went to Make-A-Wish (except maybe a buck or two to help with sever upkeep, that's okay), I would be fine with this. Hell, even in the abstract, I don't have any real problem with this. The issue, though, is the philosophy. I resented the addition of the TCG exclusive items, I resent this as well. If I pay my monthly subscription, I should have full access to all content in the game. I'm not saying hand it to me on a silver platter, but I shouldn't have to pay outside of the game for it.

As much as this bothers me, what bothers me more is what it says about the future. To me, this says that there will be more and more minitransactions (I'm sorry, TEN DOLLARS for a PET is not "micro"), and that Blizzard does not see the addictive properties as unfortunate... rather, it sees them as a business opportunity. I'm not going to get melodramatic and say I'm going to quit over this, but it disturbs me very deeply that they would do this.

I disagree. Sure, Flash Heal is not Holy's main heal, but it IS our way of stacking Serendity, so we do still cast it with frequency even without Surge of Light. Not as good for Holy as it is for Disc? I'll agree there. Still a great set bonus. What I would like, though, would be this... "Your Flash Heal and Binding Heal critical strikes cause the target to heal for 25% of the healed amount over 9 sec." That would be SEXY.

Chaosclaws, I guarentee you there will be new Worgen mounts. Why can I do that? Because Blizzard has, for several patches now, added mounts in order to balance out the number of mounts per faction. And the Goblins already have an announced mount. Given that they've worked to balance the mount numbers, they wouldn't just let that be screwed up.

And besides, I'm sure they know that people are excited for new mounts. Personally, I can't wait to put a tauren in a goblin go cart. It'll be like DK in Mario Kart- waaaay too big for what he's driving.

The important thing is this... all classes are being lore justified. The reason they are being added is to give people greater access to classes, yes. But it's also being used as a mechanic to represent how the world is growing, is changing. After meeting the Frostbourn, the Dwarves are now more in touch and in harmony with nature, learning from their Titan heritage. After centuries- perhaps millenia, I don't know the Warcraft timeline that well- of magic discrimination, the Night Elves are finally beginning to accept and embrace the Arcane, setting aside biases formed at the birth of the High Elves.

The Trolls, a race that is so far from their home, and that finds that all the rest of their own people are savages or lunatics, have finally found something they are at home with... nature itself. The list goes on and on. Say what you will about how you don't like races sharing classes, but I think it's a brilliant move to tie classes to story developments.

I'm not sure all the specifics of this man's formula, but he is (singing) wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong... wrong wrong wrong wrong! He's wrong! He's wrooong!

Y'know... I really like this idea. A lot. Both in a game balance sense, and in a game lore sense, it's awesome.
