"I don't pay attention to any DK forums or articles, but I'm sure they're none too happy with all the nerfs coming their way, too."
Lmao. DKs are CONSISTENTLY outDPSing pure DPS classes and they are (generally) better than all other classes in PvP. Death Knights are a caster's worst nightmare. The same cannot be said for... any kind of paladin, actually - and in fact, casters are strong against paladins. They also wear plate and are therefore just as resilient (more-so if they turn on Frost Presence) as Retribution Paladins. Doesn't matter if they're not happy with the nerfs; they're deserved.
"The thing ret paladins have to understand is... It's just not fair for one class to basically dominate everything they do."
My eyes must need to be examined because I could've sworn I read two different things. You said "ret paladins," then you said "one class." Retribution Paladins are not a class. You are mis-categorizing. You're lumping Retribution with Holy and Prot - which is a logic FAIL.
"That's what we do, and we want to do it well. And certainly better than a class who can do damage, heal, tank, own in PVP, and ANYTHING else they set their minds to."
... and to do that they have to change specs and gear (and possibly glyphs) entirely. Again with the mis-categorization, too? I thought you'd be smart enough not to say the same stupid shit twice.
"If anyone's ever tried to kill a decent ret paladin in PVP, especially somewhere where they can LoH (anywhere but arena), you'll see what I mean. There aren't too many classes that can come up against a plate-wearing, self-healing, magic-win-button-popping-class and survive. "
PVP IS ABOUT TEAM PLAY. NOT 1V1. Sorry if you (and even I) don't like that fact. Besides, I can replace "decent ret paladin" with "subpar death knight," take out the LoH part and it would be even more true.
"To top it all off, ret paladins CAN do top-5 raid dps, and out dps many of the pure-dps classes while they're at it."
Wow. Just, wow. Have you even looked at top charts? If a paladin is ever top 5 DPS in a 25, EVERY SINGLE OTHER DPS BELOW THEM SUCKS GIANT BALLS. Completely and totally true.
"Some people are happy with the classes they play, and don't want to re-roll a paladin just to be able to compete."
Let me fix that for you:
Some people are happy with the classes they play, and don't want to re-roll a DEATH KNIGHT just to be able to compete.
They will lose some of their edge come 3.1 though.
Anyone that says you have to have a $400-600 graphics card to run it good is dead-fucking-wrong. My ENTIRE computer was no more than $600 and it plays Crysis all high settings 1024x768. That's what, $200 higher than what most of you paid for a 360? Yeah you 360 fanboys can go away. Ignorant morons.
"48. The 599 price is fine when you consider getting a Blu-ray-player. I on the other hand believe in standalone HiFi-components, so that's a non-factor to me.
As a Blu-ray-Player + Gaming Machine the PS3 price is pricey but OK.
