I'm not confused, but you surely are. I never said graphics = fun. I did said that I expected better graphics, as I'm sure you know, graphics are part of gaming experience, the new trend Nintendo started is only partially true.
This game would be even better with PS3 like-graphics and tech, it couldn't possibly make this experience less stellar, the converse, is sadly for you, false.
If I'm playing again for a 15 years old game, I expect it to be improved on all possible accounts, graphics are one of them.
Altough I love OOT, I'm still disappointed with this port, the graphics are a mess, low poli, low effects, low on shaders, awful models. Nintendo really should stop being cheap, they could've invested a little more on this re-release.
Seriously, looking at this game the same day you see Uncharted on the Vita is a painful experience. OOT was a graphical masterpiece when it launched (and a masterpiece on many others aspects), I didn't expect it to have quite the same impact today (as in a handheld, and one that isn't graphically groundbreaking), but at least they could've tried.
Well, if Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony didn't insist on letting stores charging us as much as twice the price, and instead selling them by their true price (PS3, $299), we would certainly buy a lot more.
I do have a PS3, and Nintendo Wii, and a lot games, but I payed a hell lot more than my USA fellows, I know more people would buy game consoles if they had their normal prices, hell, we even bought them at twice the price (the above average middle class family in Mexico usually has one console, the most popular one, is xbox 360 here, of course, those represent around 15-20% of Mexico's population, but those are still around 18,000,000-22,000,000 persons, they could easily expand to the usual middle class by selling their products at their actual costs, expanding to a market around 30,000,000 - 35,000,000 people...)
I've always find company shortsighted when it comes to selling here, there average annual income in Europe is obviously higher, but the average country in Europe has a lot less people than Mexico and Brazil, by merely focusing in the above average middle class in those two countries there's a market bigger than 80 millions.
I really hope it's better than Killzone 2, since KZ 2 completely disappointed me. The controls are god damn awful, I sincerely don't understand how a game with broken controls can be a critically acclaimed game, I just can't.
Also, the graphics seem "good", but it really didn't deserve all the praise it got, there are some terrible textures in many places, some extremely crappy effects (the lightning crap to revive, the fire, etc), Uncharted 2 (by far), Assassin's Creed II, among others, impressed me a hell lot more. but it is, undoubtedly a nice visual experience.
However, I do believe that if Guerilla fixes the controls then KZ 3 is going to be a blast.
@spin cycle: Come on, you got what the guy tried to say.
He was trying to say that: For every amount of time the train goes at 250 Km/h, it needs to go the same amount of time at 750 km/h.
Think about it this way:
If you need to prom 500 Km/h on 500 km. You need to do all the travel in 1h, so, if the train goes at 250 km/h during 1/2h, it only needs to go at 750 Km/h for 1/2h.
You know, that would be absolutely amazing, not to mention an incredibly artistic way to explain the usual similar path of all games, and the different artistic styles.
@stubby boardman Well, I don't think you have anything to backup that statement, but I do believe the PSP 2 will be a technical monster, and I was hoping for it, I can't see with my right eye, so no-3D for me.
However, the GPU Nintendo picked for the 3DS seems like the best option cost-power-baterry wise. it's quite powerful, getting games like Wind Waker with less polygons but highly better effects, normal mapping, etc is quite possible (why Wind Waker? Because it's by far the NGC game that aged better, also, it's my favorite Zelda, and I love the artwork XD).

Jun 21st 2010 3:35PM (Engadget)Peace Walker is a fair lot behind "The Naked Sample" demo of the 3DS. God of War looks amazing, but still doesn't hold itself against it.

That's how Peace Walker actually looks (and a quite good looking one), not bullshit perfectly anti-aliased screenshot like the ones IGN hosts.
