@Toyzer Pogo + Inklet would probably work well enough for less than Wacom.

MacBook Pro Core i7 review

Apr 15th 2010 9:25AM (Engadget)
I really wanted to see some gaming benchmarks using Boot Camp drivers + latest NVIDIA and Windows 7 64-bit. I know it's stupid to expect extraordinary performance but I'm in a situation where I'm about to move into a much smaller living area and I will be replacing my desktop PC with a 17" MacBook Pro. It'd be nice if some of my games played nicely, and I'm not expecting everything to perform outstanding. It is only a GeForce GT 330M after all.

@Broderbund +1, Alienware design is too over the top I wish it was a simple exterior.

OpenGL 4.0 arrives, brings more opportunities for general purpose GPU action

Mar 11th 2010 11:50AM (Engadget)
@quarkist I'm all for minimizing MS's stronghold on PC gaming.

Funny thing is, back when first 3D accelerated games were available, OpenGL based drivers were far superior than DirectX. I remember Half-Life wouldn't render very well in DirectX mode.

Adopting OpenGL will also make porting your game across platform easier. Now that Valve is cross platform, I can see other developers catching on.

The problem here I think is Epic. Unreal Engine is too DirectX oriented.

AMD Fusion sampling soon, arriving in 2011 with Llano APU

@NeatOman Yes, this Intel dominance needs some dwindling or else the whole NVIDIA fiasco will just get worse and expand onto other things.

A 32 nm 4-core CPU/GPU system on a chip will do wonders in a portable. I hope they can keep the power and thermal suckage down.
