The Gigawatt Blades weapon is a downloadable weapon add-on via the PSN and cannot be gotten in-game.

And it's interesting that you mention the Uncharted 2 beta, because New Zealand gamers are getting access to it when they preorder inFamous so I'm betting Europe will too (since SCE Europe is the central hub for SCE in the PAL territories.)

I wonder if this will have any influence on whether we see an English version. Even if it's just a US release, I'll happily import.

SCE-NZ (for which I'm a Territory Manager) threw a launch party for Killzone 2 Tuesday last week, and we brought over Steven ter Heide (Killzone 2 Senior Producer) and Eric Boltjes (Killzone 2 Senior Game Designer) from Amsterdam for the night. Was hella fun.

They had these replicas at our Killzone 2 launch party last Tuesday. They're actually quite heavy.

Promo copies of the game (i.e, the discs with the white and maroon coloured text on the top) are final versions of the game and are only printed after the Master copy has gone Gold (ready for manufacture for retail.)

So promo copies WILL be able to have access to online play.

This man is indeed correct: I legitimately received a Press Kit (which includes a promo copy of the game) and the promo versions *ARE* the retail game version, minus game case and manual. The online servers are not yet up and running which is why there is no Online access yet.
