Seagate - the answer to digital distribution?

See Atomic Computers. With 2 bytes, they can store a number that is greater than the number of known stars in the entire Universe.

1,208,925,819,614,629,174,706,176 - Number that can be stored in 2 bytes.
1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 - Aprox. Number of Stars in the Universe.

The first Atomic computer will be 32 times 'more powerful' than any computer currently made.

Wii production exceeding expectations

" I think you can do some better math there:

GameCube: $70 (At most, and this is generous).
Built-in 802.11b Wireless Adapater ($70~ for proprietary support)
512 MB SD card in Wii: $30
Wii Controler + Nunchuck: $60
Wii Sports: $25

I think people also underrate how much Wifi connectiability costs these days. PCI Wifi cards and laptop Wifi adapters aren't cheap."

I was going by actual retail costs of the GameCube hardware and acessories from the Nintendo online store, not from estimated costs.

Wii production exceeding expectations

I think I can sum up these comments.

GameCube: $100
GameCube Broadband Adaptor (Wi-Fi connectability is included with the Wii): $35
GameCube memory card 1019 [64 MB] (512 MB flash in Wii): $30
Wii Controler + Nunchuck: $60
Wii Sports: $25

($250 for those who are counting)

Not having to worry about shortages: Priceless

How much would you spend on a PS3 game?

Jun 28th 2006 11:19AM (Joystiq)
It will be interesting to see how this pans out what with Nintendo taking on a former PS1 and PS2 stance (many types of games from multiple developers and for low costs), while Sony takes on a N64 and GCN stance (few games from a consolidated list of developers, with high costs). The companies have basically flip-floped.

It will be up to the Third-Parties this generation on who wins the console war.

It is no suprise at all.

Is Apple looking to snap up Nintendo?

Jun 9th 2006 10:58PM (BloggingStocks)
Nintendo and Apple have been at each others heels for years - often replicating each others ad style (though it is usually Nintendo doing the copying). But its just coincidence, as many companies are taking on the 'i' branding. Heck, I'm suprised that Apple hasn't called their keyboards iType and their mice iPoint. Look at all the devices out there trying to copy the look of the iPod nowadays.

I do not think that this will happen, as Nintendo flat out rejected Microsofts offer to buy them, practically laughing in their faces.
