If there's one thing that's currently holding back the sales of the 360 in Europe, I think it's the continuous stream of negative publicity regarding its lack of quality and reputation for scratching discs. It's really sad that Microsoft doesn't tackle these issues adequately, because otherwise they would have a clear winner. In fact, I think sorting out the quality issues could be a more important factor in increasing sales than lowering the price.
"We're aware that some users are having difficulty downloading the Halo 3 multiplayer beta via Crackdown. Bungie Studios is working with the Xbox Live team to resolve this as quickly as possible - stay tuned. Gamers entering the beta through other means, such as the Friends and Family remain unaffected.
I am headed back to Seattle in a few hours, so I’ll be offline while I am in the air. For the most up to date information, keep an eye on Bungie.net for the latest from Frankie regarding this issue.

Seems to me that ALL users cannot download the Halo 3 Beta from Crackdown. At least I haven't seen a single confirmation of a successful download, just a lot of angry comments from people who have been trying for more than 3 hours to get the Beta...
I am very happy about the lack of 60Hz 1080P support. If you look at some of the PS3 games that do support this resolution, like Pirates of the Caribbean, you see that a lot of compromises have been made to achieve that resolution. I prefer to have a game without compromises, and still great HD visuals (thanks to upscaling).
BTW: I use an LCD screen with 1080p native resolution, but limited to 1080i via HDMI/component.
#67: Since the dashboard update, I'm also experiencing non-real time titty bouncing. Even after a reboot and without any active downloads, the DOAX2 trailer plays very choppy (especially in the part with the jet skis). At least on my console, this is very reproducable. Seems that this is also caused by the WMV "upgrade" that was part of the patch (and that's also causing the Halo 3 trailer issue). My guess is that we'll soon be seeing another update to fix these codec problems...
