Ranus Studios is spot-on. I was going to post a similar comment:

Basically, we all managed perfectly well before multiplayer with great games that we could absorb ourselves in. Now every developer seems to be wasting time trying to integrate a MP aspect to games that don't require it.

I love COD4 online and several other games, but if I' playing a game like Condemned, I really couldn't give a rat's arse whether it has MP or not. Make games for the sake of making great games, not trying to appeal to everybody!

I was just coming on to post that I hope they're paying him enough to replace that shirt, but you beat me to it.

This is sad news for two reasons:

1) It's not going to stop him and his "Crusade of Madness"

2) We are losing our nemesis! What would Superman be without Lex Luthor, or Spider-Man without the Green Goblin? Gamers without Jack Thompson??? I am weeping gently...

Hmm... bit of a change in attitude from the last time, everyone.

"We love Criterion", "Amazing amount of FREE content" etc etc. Now, they offer a download that really doesn't make any difference (let's face it, trophies are only there to challenge yourselves or show off to mates) and everyone suddenly hates them because it's not retroactive! They've offered massive additional content that most other devs would have charged you for!

Fickle, people... very fickle.

I'm on my 4th console now but as it's my son's birthday tomorrow and I'm sick of him blagging mine all the time (and personally I blame him for the RROD), I utilised the pricedrop to buy him his own.

Just went into game and the 60gb machine was £169.99 with Star Wars: Force Unleashed. Result! Star Wars goes on ebay for £30 and I just bought a 60gb machine for £140. Not much to complain about there.

I'm just having a great mental image of how they actually test this...

We need 50 subjects, 25 epilepsy sufferers and 25 non-epilepsy sufferers. Strap 'em into chairs, run Wipeout HD on a massive screen for 6 hours and see what happens...
