Ah, the set name and the gauntlet/shoulder design seals it. Point taken. Put me on the Rag side of the fence.
Still, why a hood then? I guess that's the part that kept me glancing toward the ascendants as the set inspiration. I guess it's just to keep it magey.
Maybe I'm crazy, maybe I'm just plain wrong, but isn't the T11 Mage (the one referred to yesterday if memory serves) pretty obviously based on the ascendant look rather than Ragnaros?
I mean, the entire rest of the tier is based around Cata flavored elemental stuff and references, so why is a hooded flaming skull, something clearly on many of the heads of the ascendants, linked to Rag? I mean, he has a sort or skullish look to his face I guess, but really?
Then again, some people swear that the tentacles on the T13 warlock helm are a duck bill.
Yes, there are obvious heterosexual families scattered all over the place in game, but, as mentioned several times before, there are more and more examples of homosexual relationships popping up in-game. When the game was first released, things had not progressed to the point that they are today. I'd say that the representation homosexuals have in the game is pretty fantastic seeing as the need to explore sexuality is probably as far from the developers' minds as possible (unless called for by lore/design decisions such as Illidan's orgy-o-rama rooms). Things will also continue to improve as the game moves forward. In fact, I bet we will see more racially diverse character options (for humans, at least... not sure how it'd work elsewhere) pop up once the long in development character revamps roll out. I am of the opinion that the black skinned white guys in game are just a result of development time and restraints. It's just a texture swap on an unchanging model. The fact that actual geometry changes with different facial options in the Goblins is a good indicator of the future.
Comments like "doesn't mean shit coming from a heterosexual white male. you're represented in spades." make you look as angry and bigoted as those you accuse and attack. Take a step back, breathe a bit, and look at the whole picture.

Patch 4.3: Worgen racial mounts
Sep 1st 2011 1:31PM (WoW)The fact that they are indeed being referred to as such has got to be ruffling expectations.
Still, I don't get why they couldn't just stick two more horses in with the rest of them at a vendor somewhere and call it a day.
