Nokia prepping N97 "multimedia computer"?

Nov 17th 2006 5:58PM (Engadget)
I _am_ Hungarian and that comment was a bit politically incorrect. Luckily I take it very lightly. :) Anyhow, the referred article begins with the sentence that this is a _presumed_ shot of the phone with the _assumed_ specifications. They finish it with expressing the hope that there might be a Nokia phone like this sometime...

What clichés are there in connection with Hungarians? (maybe it's better if I don't know...) I thought that your only associate the gulash soup, Dracula, Gábor Zsazsa with Hungary...

Nintendo announces DS Lite

I wonder if they decided to include the WPA support this time... WEP is just so oldschool :) (seriously, it is already timely to leave the lacking security of WEP far behind)

Blog debate: is Apple making a game console?

Jan 3rd 2006 3:38PM (Joystiq)
Why should have the apple media center special gaming capabilities? I mean why people measure gaming capabilities in million texels and polygons? I hardly give a sh*t about it. Just give me an apple media center, running OSX and will be happy to play Bomberman online! (Kill Monty deathmatch anyone?) Look at one of the most mentioned game on the 360: Geometry Wars. An ibook could do that... Are there any bluetooth game controllers out there?

Exclusive Depeche Mode ticket presale via iTunes

DM rocks! Still! I would be in trouble if I would have to pick their best, because I still listen to songs from their first albumt to their forthcoming. :) Probably the Construction Time Again album has the least hits. Is that the worst LP then? I respect the band, because there are hardly two albums that are similar, they managed to bring something new every time, while still being themselves. Got my tickets for next March :) when they will be playing over here. The other band I listen to pretty frequently is Placebo. They are the most played bands on my ipod. :)

An Open Letter to Steve Jobs: Push Ahead with the Intel Move

Jun 13th 2005 1:45PM (TUAW.com)
I guess there are plenty open issues for Apple to carefully examine before the production of Intel Macs can begin. Bios vs EFI (vs OpenFirmware), x86 vs x86-64 and also mind all the outdated, useless features (like MMX) that are kept for backward compatibility and taking precious die space on the silicons. Hope, they will drop out all that crap and will use the opportunity to start from a blank page.
