@TickLe MY eLMo No, sales aren't proof of quality, but pretty hard to argue with consumer satisfaction scores, of which the iPhone handily beats out all competitors. Given the iPad is based closely on the same pedigree, trying to claim it's not a great product for users is kind of a waste of time. The sales are a supporting factor though, especially since they're accelerating.

@Firesuite How are they missing an opportunity? The iPad is unlocked, just put whoevers microsim in it you want and surf happy. Or does Verizon not have a GSM network? If that's the case, how very sad for them.

@mkr10001 Speak for yourself. I'll take Apple's way that gives me better foreground performance and doesn't drain my battery unnecessarily. Why wouldn't you want that kind of multitasking over the alternative if you had a choice in your preferred platform? You only say that because your phone of choice doesn't offer that.

@Ducman69 Really not that much space when you consider the case tapers off to the edges. The free space around the edges has limited thickness to accommodate much once the LCD screen is in place.

@jordanbiffle I hope this somehow becomes your mistake, and you lose your job, become unemployable, causing your wife or girlfriend to leave you (if you even have either) and you end up having to turn tricks on the street just to support your crack habit.

@trashoner Fair enough. AT&T's webserver is running Linux, but I hardly think this one case cancels out the millions of Windows security breeches that happen annually.

Of course, this article has nothing to do with Mac OS X or the iPad's security, so I'm assuming you were taking a jab at Linux?
