On the whole second hand game thing, I tend to pick up games that I wasn't too bothered by at launch second hand, when they've dropped to £10, I recently got Alone in the Dark for that price, seems much more worth it at that price, the flaws kinda don't matter.

I also tried to get a second copy of ODST for system link purposes, last week and Blockbuster was selling it new for $24.99 and used for £24.95. That's 4p difference, the guys at the counter where equally perplexed but said that there wasn't anything they could do. Seems Blockbuster don't care so much about their second hand stuff. I didn't bother getting it in the end.

I think the basic plot is that a kid called Akira is found to have super human powers, he's taken in by the military for experiments where they try to find a way to use his powers for military purposes. The kid from the biker gang (Tetsuo) gets mixed up in an experiment and gets given the powers. Because he's kinda got a complex from being looked down on in the gang, he ends up going a little on the crazy side, so Kaneda has to take his ass down with a Spartan Laser.

There's some sub plot stuff too and some trippy stuff that shows the development of Tetsuo's powers. All in all, flipping awesome and crazy. First time I saw it, it was late in the night and had watched Labyrinth before hand so made for an extra trippy viewing.

could be fireworks, essentially flash without the flash, but then the onion skin style layering is very flash esque, maybe the simple answer is flash.

Like watching evolution, but faster. Very cool seeing how ideas appear, how things can change and how some silly ideas appear, like paint tube hand. Fantastic.

Anyone any idea what program and tools this guy uses?

But then I come from Liverpool, have a mixed north, south pronunciation and a relatively poor grasp of the english language. So I'm not exactly one to talk.

Nice section on kids/young people playing games not rated for them.

I kinda have mixed feelings on it, my predominant thought is that it's generally not suited for them and so they shouldn't really be playing them, however I remember playing Fallout which was rated 15+ (in UK) in 1997 when I was 12, which was lots of fun and never caused me any problems, strangely I had more anger issues with racing games, they tend to really frustrate me.

Maybe there should be an option in the complaints system for "too young", I'm sure that'd be popular :D
