I think everything Ludwig pointed out in MGS2 is entirely on purpose. It was designed to be a video game that looked at the relationship of the player to the character in a video game. MGS2 is designed to mess with your expectations of a video game and a sequel.

It's the first postmodern video game, and it's my favorite video game. I can play it over and over again.

My question: How do anti-trust laws relate to the gaming industry? Is there such a thing as a sports game trust? an rpg trust? If a company buys out all the developers of a certain kind of game, is that a violation of anti-trust laws?
