Okay, we simply need to boycott ALL WB and Paramount Blu-ray flicks that have this downsampling crap in them.

Too bad Oracle of Ages/Seasons didn't rank higher, I know a lot of people didn't play them (some of the last GBC games). I just got done beating them myself, I highly suggest it to anyone who considers themselves a true Zelda fan... because you're not until you beat them :-p

Jaswon W: You brought up an interesting point... do yo ureally think HD-DVD sharing via Windows Media Center will allow you to output it via components? That would be a HUGE loophole in their protection. I think they will force you to use HDCP via HDMI or DVI for sure.

Also, I wonder if they will eventually require HDCP for non-broadcast high-def channels.

No way it will play in HD with components. It will have to play in HDCP, so either DVI or HDMI... the studios don't trust us, remember?

I think the poll is scewed because too many voters were too young to play any of the NES/Super NES games... and probably even the GBC games. Hence the N64 games were probably the first ones they played.

Strangely, I just finished Ages/Seasons and was looking for a ranking of the best Zelda games.

For me, the best Zelda games are the ones I can go back and enjoy playing again. I don't think Ocarina holds up very well by today's standards. I tried playing Majora's Mask for the first time yesterday on gamecube (collector's disc). It's the only Zelda game I've never beat and the framerate just hurt my eyes. All the 2-D games seem to hold up way better in my eyes.

Can a CRT HDTV actualy display progressive and interlaced sources? I ask because a lot of Sony CRT TVs say they are 1080i native, but support 720p and 480p... so do they upconvert them to 1080i to an interlaced signal, or do they actually support true 720p and 480p?
