I picked one up the other day (which I had preordered for over a month) at EB Games. I got home, plugged it into charge, and then turned it on for the first time to configure all my settings. The first thing I noticed was how much brighter the screens were and how much bigger and better the stylus was. So each time a dialog box popped up telling me that the time, name, ect. was set, I noticed a bright red pixel on the black background of the dialog box which wasn't noticeable on the white background of the main screen. I got a little scared as I booted up Animal Crossing for the first time on my Lite, fearing a stuck pixel. Unfortunately, my fears were justified as there was, in fact, a bright red pixel that didn't change color almost exactly in the middle of my touch screen. I tried ignoring it at first but it was just too noticeable. After AC, I played a bit of Mario Kart, New Super Bros., and Metroid Prime Hunters and they all looked so much better on the brighter screen (the red pixel wasn't a problem with those games since all three use mainly the top screen, not the bottom, touch screen with the pixel). So even though the DS Lite looks amazing, I'm going to have to either try and get another one from EB or send mine back to Nintendo because of the pixel. My brother, who also got a Lite yesterday, noticed a green pixel on his touch screen, although it wasn't as noticeable as my red pixel.
