Press Return, and you will see a black bar below your chat window, in here you may type.
You can type in, (without the quotes) "/s" then type in a space, and then you can talk!
/s - This is for talking to people close by /y - This is to YELL. Yelling can be rude! /1 - Talk to everyone in your zone. /2 - When you're in a city, you can talk to everyone in every city in /2 this is for Trade really. /g - if you are in a guild, you may "talk in g" as it is called. /o - Special channel if you are an officer in a guild. /p - If you are in a party (or "group") with others, you can talk using /p. /raid - If you are in a very large (>5 people) group, that is a raid. /bg - If you are in a battleground, you can use /bg.
Remember, to talk in a channel, press enter to get text box. Then, type in a foreward-slash ( these: /) followed (without a space) by the letters for the type of talking you want to do, followed by a space.
Sometimes, like if you talk in Say (/s), when you press return to talk again, it will remember you are in say, and you won't need to type /s again! Some channels, like /y and /1 don't do that.
This has already been posted, although it may have been in a comment or something as everyone here doesn't seem to have noticed. I still have it bookmarked from the last time it appeared here.

She ought not to "punish" you like that during arguments... it implies that you're just some kind of dog that she has to train.
I suppose I could be misunderstanding. There is a difference between, "If we're not together I'd probably not have the drive to play WoW", and "To teach you a lesson, I'm not going to play".
