Maybe I'm missing something here, but instead of getting a FREE game that was promised to them, PS3 owners now just get the option to BUY DLC early?

Played the very first POP on my early 1990's 286. And still love it!

A 'mountains to seaside' race with majestic views, dangerous curves (but not frustrating), and a nice straightaway along the beach.

He's kind of right. People complain whenever a PSN game eclipses the $5 price point. Gamers will shell out $60 for absolute crap, but when something quality comes out at a sixth of the price, they bitch and moan like the developer is trying to eat their young. When a game is the same price as two meals at a fast food joint, don't bitch!

As for the piracy, well, yeah, welcome to reality.

Both consoles have pissed me off this gen. And at the same time, both have been great. We need the competition to ensure innovation, but it's amazing to look at where the two consoles have failed.

MS does brilliantly in understanding their user base and offers the fantastic Live service but absolutely drops the ball with a shoddy console that fails significantly more than it should. Sony puts together an absolute powerhouse of a box for a good price considering the hardware, but completely misses the needs and demands of the Western market and continues to give them the middle finger by developing crap that no one wants (seriously, text messaging on the latest firmware????) and taking forever to come up with the low-hanging fruit (is it that hard to create a working match-making service?)
