Poll: fixed or variable width content for Engadget?

I'm not too fussed, as I read RSS anyway, but just in case you were interested, I think I read somewhere that about 12-15 words per line is optimal for reading. Look at most novels and you'll find they usually use about that many words per line.

Buffalo's TeraStation Living NAS for the home

Mar 1st 2007 8:17PM (Engadget)
When, oh when, will someone bring out a 4x SATA NAS box, that comes with no HDD's. That way I can afford it now, and add storage as I go, rather than having to dump almost a $K in one hit.

And now ... the Wiimote lawsuit

Simply put... If your Wiimote strap (rope) breaks, you are using it incorrectly.

I don't use the strap... Although I probably would if I was drunk, just to be on the safe side.

Anyone who doesn't think this is entirely the consumers fault is clearly an idiot.

WikiPod brings (some of) Wikipedia to your iPod

You can also access a WAP version Wikipedia on a mobile phone or PDA with Wapedia.

Of course, the downside to all this mobile access to Wikipedia will be the temptation to cheat a little on the next trivia night down at the bar.

This looks interesting, I'd like to get one for my dad. Should this work ok in Australia? Any reason why it shouldn't work?

Buffalo spices up spacious NAS line

I just want someone to make a cheap Gigabit NAS that I can buy with no drives. The Thecus ones are the cheapest I've found, but I still think they're a bit expensive for what they are.

Paper Mario says, 'OMG the GameCube isn't dead yet!'

Yeah, you have to remember that as far as consoles are concerned, Japan is like America in reverse. In a Japanese gaming mag they held a poll for which next-gen console people would buy. The vast majority said Wii, a smaller percentage said PS3, and a very small amount said XBOX 360. In an American mag I'd imagine the results would be reveresed.

PS. Cube rules, OK.

I want a 4 drive one, but I still think they're too expensive for what they are.
