I will be in attendance in Denver, and can't wait to hear it. Perhaps the Castlevania Symphony will be the next to tour through town.
Sadly, I bet this show will sell out (for a travelling orchestra, nonetheless), while our resident CSO can't fill the hall for their huge draws like Tchaikovsky's "Romeo & Juliet", Mahler 9, or Holst's "The Planets".
Although the Half Life 2 series is certainly excellent, the FPS genre has expanded so much that it's almost unfair to compare a puzzle & story based single player game against a squad-based, team-play, multiplayer game. Both appear at the very top of their respective categories, but to me its not an apples-to-apples approach.
I can't seem to find any information that indicates that this is available in a right-handed version. The photo gallery and tech-specs aren't particularly robust, but they all appear to show the left-handed version...
Serious Sam always came off as a Duke-Nukem wannabe. This game does nothing to disprove that. About the only thing going for SSHD is it's co-op gameplay.
@ Damien Strawberry Fields is about an actual place in Liverpool called Strawberry Fields. If there are Vietnam undertones, they are pretty well hidden.
I didn't say every "Black Album" remix was bad. Just that there are an awful lot of bad ones, particularly because the vocal tracks are easily available.
I have been a big fan of the Gray Album, and find that I like some of Dangermouse's mixes better than the original on Jay-Z's albums... so there is good stuff out there... Unfortunately "Jay-Z versus the Verve" was a good example of how many bad mixes there are. Dangermouse is, indeed, legit.
If it wasn't for another plastic peripheral, I'd not hesitate to grab this for my console of choice.
On the other hand, Tiptup300... that mix is awful. Making Jay-Z black album remixes is a joke ever since the a capella voice tracks were leaked. No ingenuity required... just cut a loop, replay it a dozen times in Ableton Live, go to the B section, loop something different... lather, rinse, repeat. Unfortunately 2 great songs separately do not equal one great song together.
DJ Shadow is a man to be respected, and that Beastie-BBD remix was awesome.
