Seriously though, they should try a little harder next time. The only thing I can say is that there was a 'so bad it's good' moment when my suit started urging me to "GET YOUR ASS TO CENTRAL PARK, MARINE!"

Turning perceptions of reasonable, alternative viewpoints into tired cliches is one of the great PR successes of the modern era. They steal your money, and they don't even have to pay you to defend their right to do so.

I think Brink should get some recognition too - it is a LOT of fun online (most reviews put it at 6 to 7 based on the singleplayer, which is crazy). Thanks to patches and Steam sales, it is continuing, albeit fairly quietly in the gaming press.

For a blockbuster game, L.A. Noire was surely the most original of the year. We're getting to the stage in the industry that its big-budget compadres are so uninteresting that the top 10 will have to be filled with indie.

Once you have purchased it in a speedy manner, you will probably end up playing through it very slowly indeed. I find myself making unnecessary cups of tea, sandwiches and taking a smoke break every checkpoint. Combined with the terror, a heart attack is surely not very far away.

No shooter has come out since that is anywhere near as good, so sort yourself out fool!

EA "neither for or against the bill" - just using it as free advertising space. Although you mention them as corporate 'sponsors', does this mean they paid anything towards lobbying for the bill in the first place?
