Sep 8th 2011 6:56AM (Joystiq)I have to wonder though, will they really release Dante's Awakening with it's difficulty levels, or are they after the Special Edition with playable Vergil and lower difficulty?
I think the playable Vergil outweighs the difficulty problem from the Special Edition.

Sep 5th 2011 9:08AM (Joystiq)Retail discounts are one reason for sure, but I'd say another one is that you can pay with a credit card in only like 2/3 countries out of the 27 that are in the European Union (but I suspect the article isn't talking about just the EU, but about the geographical location of Europe, in which case, a great majority of people can't even pay online and have no choice but to buy at retail)

Well maybe I am. Nu-metal is a popular genre, and even RB3 had Chop Suey, One Step closer and Down with the Sickness on the disc, I guess it was my fault for expecting variety or something?
When this genre of games started, any song with a guitar part could be expected to be in the game. Then Harmonix narrowed the selection down to songs that have vocals. And now the selection is limited to songs that have guitar part, a vocal part and a piano/keys part. Of course it's going to be harder to make a selection of songs that will please people and I'm just one of those that is not please with the current selection.
Anyway, arguing about taste is totally pointless, I was just expressing my disappointment that the RB3 track list is nowhere near as good as RB2 track list was. That game so many good and well-known songs, that expecting any other game to match its greatness was just setting yourself up for disappointment and that is just what I got.
Also the little circle, combo-meter thing was much better looking in RB2, and the note-curve for vocals was also better done in RB2, it was a lot more obvious when you weren't singing correctly.
