360 Mouse and KB control available today

WHen testing SHadow Run, the XBOX 360 beta testers, using game pades, wiped the floor with the mouse users- suggesting that the overall MOVEMENT control of console analog sticks could very well prove more useful than the inevitable higher accuracy of a mouse.

I mean, each to their own. I do not think mouse users will have a latge advantage.

OLPC's pull-string power system going commercial

Dec 15th 2006 9:47PM (Engadget)
OK that wasn't clear. What i MEANT to say, is we don't have to worry about the lost energy, because most of us already have too much energy stored.

Now, some people may not need to drop the cals- starving shouldn't use this. But if you eat 4 cheeseburgers, that's gonna be probably enough to keep you going and charge a laptop a couple times.

Ahem, it's important to remember the human body is way more fficient than any battery, so ultimately you're not losing any more energy.

Perplexed by my quiet 360, how does yours work? [update 1]

, I just put my full name in there.

Oh well, at least it's not "System Wars" on Gamespot. That would've been bad.

I had a Hitachi (launch) but it got bricked with the fall update. Microsoft agreed to replace it after I whined for a few days on-line and over the phone, and I got a Samsung back. Both had "gear shifts" in spin speed, but the Samsung seems to shift down a lot more often.

FOr example the drive was slow-spinning for almost 30 minutes as I strolled acroos Oblivion. This is confusing especially, becaus eI hit at least 10 load spots during theat time and saw plenty of new landscape load in- but never and change in disk speed until I spoke to an NPC and it had to read audio records.

I think the drive speed is actually fully controlled by the software of each individual game.

Will Wright, Stephen Colbert, and N'Gai Croal

Dec 5th 2006 7:20PM (Joystiq)
Will Wright is probably one of my favorite game-related people.

I mean, his games were really original, a really good idea, and have a nic enatural progression.

Can't wait to play Spore.

the whole manger joke was really funny too
