@FriedConsole As far as I can tell, the game is more of a vehicle for Telltale to show off a new interaction system. The meat of the game is in the dialogue between characters.
Metal Gear kind of did this with the Metal Gear Solid Database. You could download it and browse through tons of articles on characters, locations, weapons, events, etc.
@Grimcicle Considering they took some liberties with the plot of the first game, I wouldn't have been surprised to see them try to make a movie based on the second game and try to link it to the first. Heck, they kind of set it up perfectly to make a movie based on the second game by (Spoilers) having Rose still "stuck" in the Silent Hill dimension with her husband going to look for her. They could have twisted SH2's plot around and had Sean Bean play a James Sunderland-like character on his search for his wife and kid, similar to how James was looking for his wife in Silent Hill (/Spoilers).
This review didn't even touch on the drums. Let me tell you, it is one of the worst drum experiences I've ever had in a video game.
For reasons unclear, they decided to make the drum peripheral an "air drum" -- you wave sticks above sensors to the drum pattern on screen. The problem is that you have to hold the sticks in the proper position the whole time which is very hard when you're not actually hitting something. I played this pile at PAX and it was the most frustrating experience I've had playing a new game. Dear god.
@Sho Minamimoto Given the way the game plays and its inspiration, I would not be surprised. The Super Dodgeball series was by the same guys as River City Ransom, so it'd make sense for the Scott Pilgrim devs to take inspiration from that, too.
I didn't think the battle system was that hard to grasp... Attack their Bravery until it's low enough and then attack their health. Mash one button and then mash a different button.
