Activision CEO: Wii will outsell PS3 and 360 combined in 2009

Feb 23rd 2009 11:45AM (Joystiq)
Okay, amidst your terribly written and sloppy post, I gather that you a.) Just completely agreed with what I said, and b.) you don't know how to read or write properly.

If I hated Nintendo, I wouldn't have bought a Wii. Nor would I care. I'm not a troll, and I am remaining as objective as possible. This is exactly the kind of BS response that keeps me from reading this site. I am continually unimpressed with the games coming out for the Wii. That's my opinion, its not hate-speech. Since when did Nintendo remove all the shovelware? When did that happen? Do you live in an alternate universe? 'Unique' and 'interesting' don't equate to 'good' and 'worth buying'. Hitler was 'unique' and 'interesting'. That doesn't make me want to become a Nazi.

You are clearly misinformed and misguided.

Activision CEO: Wii will outsell PS3 and 360 combined in 2009

Personally I would like to see Nintendo eat a giant piece of humble pie. Maybe they could regain some of the 'gaming' focus that made me a fan all these years.

My Wii has been unplugged and in storage since November. I beg Nintendo to give me a reason to reinstate. I'm BEGGING.

Also: This "MS IS WAY BETTERZ THAN SONYZ" shit is ridiculous. I wish we could have an adult, respectful discussion on this site, instead of incessant amounts of circle-jerk logic and fanboy idiocy.

Gaming renaissance happening now, Flower creator says

Feb 20th 2009 12:21AM (Joystiq)
Finally, an intelligent parallel. Flower represents a lame idea infused with awesome graphics. It's still a lame idea. Wii has already done motion control, it sucked too. That's why I bought a ps3. This guy is claiming that he's what, the Michelangelo of video games? Keep your Sistine Chapel, pal. It sucks.

Industrial Revolution is a much more appropriate comparison.

European PSN releases for February 12

That's not parallel reasoning at all. For instance, I own the system flower is coming out on, thereby trashing your whole analogy. Good try though, let the big boys sort out the 'logic' of something next time. Also, while I am not at all a fan of Halo, it qualifies as a 'real game' under the stated prerequisites.

As for the rest of you, go ahead and vote down any dissenting opinions or conjecture. The real world is a scary place, once you venture out of your mom's basement. It's full of these people who have different opinions than you, and sometimes you have to consider them as part of an overall picture. But don't fret, you can live down there till you're at least in your mid-thirties.

I can't wait for Flower to be released, so we can stop hearing about it. When a real game comes out, let me know.

Trophies: Age of Booty

Feb 10th 2009 11:34AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Do these trophies have to be completed online, or can they be completed in single player? Also, was there any mention of the patch to fix online play that Capcom originally mentioned?

More Wii games from EA thanks to low development costs

Oh yes, let us all bask in the greatness that will mean MORE SHOVELWARE GARBAGE out of the EA studio. Awesome.

Joker brings the funnies in latest Arkham Asylum trailer

Jan 30th 2009 11:09AM (Joystiq)
Does anybody know if this game is based loosely or largely on the graphic novel that bears the same name? It's a great stand-alone batman comic, if nobody's ever read it.

Also, all you youg'uns are forgetting to pay tribute to the man who made the joker FAMOUS back in the day, Jack effing Nicholson. Heath Ledger did a great job in his role, but Nicholson was the definitive for a decade or more. The animated series was great too, but come on. How about some love the the Jaxster?

Welcome to Joystiq Nintendo!

I don't think this is an overreaction, I think it's a concise and accurate observation. On a very basic level, it's a harder URL to type in repeatedly. This site has continually ignored my email questions about format and direction, so I'm just going to stop frequenting this site if it sucks (which it kind of did in the first place anyway). I don't need to spend hours sifting through DS news just to find out that the Wii game lineup *still* plagued by new iterations of Raving Rabbids and Carnival Games. All the more reason to sell my Wii and buy more PS3 games.

Welcome to Joystiq Nintendo!

How does it make more sense to do it this way? DS has an incredible amount of tonage as far as news and new software coming out, attention will be neglected from both the Wii and the DS if you try to cram both of them into a single post site. Frankly, I didn't think anything was wrong with the old site-- save the fact that the login *never* *worked* *ever*. But I can see that hasn't changed, so what the hell's the difference, I guess.
