Welcome to Joystiq PlayStation

Jan 27th 2009 11:37AM (Joystiq Playstation)
Wait wait, did I read that right? "Log-in system is in the works"?? Well that answers all the emails I sent you guys that nobody took the time to respond to. Can I actually edit my account soon?

LittleBigPlanet scores most nominations for February's AIAA

Jan 24th 2009 10:45AM (Joystiq Playstation)
I agree. I've been gaming all my life, and I have yet to be swayed by this game. Sure, it can win awards for innovation-- but does the fact that something is *innovative* make necessarily *fun*? In this case, I don't think so. LBP is over-hyped and shouldn't win any awards except 'weirdest game you won't be playing in six months'.

Kick ass. I'm pumped for this game, loving the first one.

Age of Booty Trophy patch comes in February

Jan 22nd 2009 11:33AM (Joystiq Playstation)
So, find a post about Capcom, or updates, or trophies. If you don't care about Age of Booty, they why are you posting here? It's a fairly simple concept.

UH UH ALL I CARE ABOUT IS ME UH UH UH.

Philistine.

Age of Booty Trophy patch comes in February

That's not what this post is about. Try reading the topic before posting next time.

Frankly, I'm excited about this news. I have yet to be able to complete an online match, but that could be because I'm on a crappy connection atm. It's too bad they couldn't fix it while the hype was big for AoB, but hopefully this will be a final necessary patch and more peeps will get into it.

Fanswag: Castlevania Judgment

Jan 20th 2009 3:18PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
SotN is an undisputed classic, there's no 'nostalgia goggles' to be worn. Harmony of Dissonance was, by far, the worst in the series on GBA. You clearly have no scope or scale on which to vote for Castlevania games. The music was terrible, the "alternate dimension" mapping system was confusing and poorly done, and the limited weaponry/spellbook system was a joke.

Castlevania II is still the best of the series, but HoD was a far inferior title to SotN. Don't even try to argue.

Fanswag: Castlevania Judgment

Castlevania II, Simon's Quest!! The most under-appreciated Castlevania title of all time. The first Castlevania title to implement RPG elements, it was truly a gem, and it's still my favorite to this day.

Sadly, I don't even want a copy of Castlevania: Judgement. It looks and sounds terrible. I'd rather have a free copy of Castlevania Chronicles for 5.99. I couldn't resist the chance to tout my favorite in a related forum, though!!

Nintendo: 99% of 2008 industry growth is all us

Let's cite an argument for quality over quantity. I hope their casual market collapses and Nintendo is humbled once again. Also, see Demotruck's comment.

Wii Warm Up: Is Sega right?

Jan 20th 2009 12:40PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
And I was ridiculed for bringing up the casual/hardcore discussion not a month ago. Sounds like I'm not the only one who's paying attention. I think SEGA is on the right track... but I fear it's too late.

A friend of mine recently proclaimed that he had 'packed up' his wii, which basically consisted of sticking it in a closet. Now, it would probably take 5 minutes, tops, to set it back up and have it immediately on hand. However, that's an additional hurdle that the wii must overcome. The game that causes him to re-institute his wii into the living room rotation will have to be *that* much better, will have to hold *that much more* promise and intrigue.

What I am saying is, the longer Nintendo waits, the harder it is going to be. More of us are going to shelve our consoles in favor of something that actually caters to what we want, a system that has more to offer than crappy fitness program and a series of shoddy mini-games. Good luck SEGA, and Nintendo. You're going to need it.

PS3 Fanboy hands-on: Flower

Jan 19th 2009 7:08PM (Joystiq Playstation)
Thank you! Its funny, the only comments that speak the truth and are worth reading get voted down. I consider myself a fanboy just as much as anybody, but come on... a little contrary opinion is good for these forums. Otherwise, we're all just participating in one big circle jerk. Heathens.
