2011 Ford Mustang GT vs. 2010 BMW M3: Tie Game? [w/poll]

Apr 16th 2010 7:34PM (Autoblog)
Money-no-object I'd still take the Mustang GT over the BMW.

The BMW will probably spend more time in the shop.

Spy Shots: Lincoln MKX and Ford Edge redesigns caught nearly naked

Dunno if anyone else has noticed but the Edge appears to have the same LED foglights as the upcoming Fiesta.

Beer Calories Sink To a New Low

Light & ultra-light beers taste terrible, so they'll do at least one thing - get you to quit drinking beer altogether.

Jared, the MEDIA picked the term czar. The term the White House is using is "Special Advisor to the President"

Study suggests driving cars in video games could lead to more purchases in real-life

Feb 9th 2009 5:24PM (Autoblog)
I agree, I felt I learned a lot more about driving dynamics from playing Gran Turismo. I think I already had my license when it came out but I felt it certainly helped that I could mess around on the game and learn how to control a vehicle in near limit conditions. It probably saved me from getting t-boned once, actually.

Sugar - How Long Can You Go Without?

Dec 16th 2008 9:10PM (That's Fit)
I went without sugar for a month and a half on the Atkins induction diet. I was felt sick for the first three or four days of the diet but I was pretty surprised by how nicely I felt after that. Recent news headlines have likened sugar's addictivity to cocaine or heroine and I guess I can't disagree that it is addictive like those. However, I recently consumed a huuuuge bag of jellybeans at the office in the course of three days, and made myself sick nearly to the point of vomiting from it. You know what? I think I'm going to try and cut my sugar use way back - I felt better without it.

Counting Rupees: Once bitten, twice shy

Every close friend & relative I have that owns a 360 had had the 3 rings of death. I haven't bought a 360 because I would be the kind of person to take it out back with a baseball bat and go "Office Space" on it. I simply don't tolerate such poor quality in something I'm going to spend that much money on, good games or not. If they can finally make one that doesn't die, I'll buy that one.

Don't worry, you can probably still read it if you have one of those Amazon.com Kindle readers.

NYT: Ziff-Davis considering online-only future for EGM

Nov 20th 2008 8:13PM (Joystiq)
I've been reading EGM on and off since the Fabio cover back in the 80's. It'll be sad WHEN it goes to online only, but frankly I think that's the direction most all magazines are going to go in the future, particularly tech oriented ones. Heck, I didn't renew Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Road & Track, and Automobile because Autoblog was scooping them on the freshest news... I got my EGM subscription for the last year by getting a Gamespot membership, but I'd pay a small fee for online access.
