Yeah, it's really a Nintendo Revolution, going from kids to grannies in 1 generation.
I don't know if you can keep both markets with that strategy, though. Kids usually consider whatever their parents or grand-parents do to be uncool.

Clearly, this Christmas, the 360, which is now mass-produced, should sell the most unit. Sony will sell as many units as they can make.
Wii will be a disappointment in terms of sales, beyond the initial flash in the pan.

A lot of people are going to look stupid when PS3 mops the floor with the other 2 consoles.

The Xbox 360 interface is not as good, since blades only slide left and right. The PS3 interface implements full up/down, left/right navigation, which offers more options, while remaining intuitive and simple to use.

I don't know 1 publisher who does not want to have their games sold to as many gamers as possible.

The game of the year is this one: As a publiser, play manufacturers against each other in order to get sweet deals.

With Micro$oft, you don't need to sell your game, since they sweeten so much.
