DS Lite shortages only momentary, says Nintendo

Jan 9th 2007 12:30PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
My wife and I were going to pick up black and pink ones for Christmas and we couldn't find them ANYWHERE in central Ohio. Target, Meijer, Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy, etc, etc. Everywhere was sold out.

Didn't have any luck online either. Every online store listed them as out of stock too. :(

Streetcars back in Columbus future?

The streetcars are not going to be ridden by everyone. But the economical growth impact they will have on our downtown will benefit everyone in Central Ohio.

How to set the alarm on your DS -- info you could care less about

Sep 7th 2006 10:29AM (Joystiq Nintendo)
I use the DS alarm when I visit my in-laws house. It's a nice portable alarm clock that I have with me anyway, and it beats hunting down one of my brother/sister-in-laws alarm clocks and figuring out how to reset them for myself.

So yeah... maybe only once every two months, but it comes in handy. I can't use my cell alarm there as I have no service out at their place. :(

Old Man Murray gives Portal its voice

Dang. I knew about this info nearly a year ago when I went to Chet's going-away party up in Cleveland when he departed for Seattle. I didn't realize I had been sitting on exclusive gaming news for that long. ha!

Say hello to a 25ft tall iPod

Jun 15th 2006 4:19PM (TUAW.com)
The company that put the ad together is Orange Barrel Media. They've been doing quite a few jumbo ad/art installations like this around downtown Columbus for the past year or two. Here's a link to their site where they have pictures of some of their other ads/projects.

The two coolest ones aside from the iPod was the Mini Cooper (which is no longer up) mounted sideways in a slingshot, and a giant soccer ball imbedded in the side of a new condo building advertising the Columbus Crew soccer team.

Good stuff!
