Call of Duty Elite still 'intermittent,' annual memberships bumped to 13 months
Nov 10th 2011 5:07PM (Joystiq)PS3's Ni no Kuni coming to North America early next year
Sep 16th 2011 9:43AM (Joystiq)Deus Ex: Human Revolution coming to Mac this 'winter 2011/12'
Sep 12th 2011 11:36AM (Joystiq)Derp? Those are the two I was talking about!
Deus Ex: Human Revolution coming to Mac this 'winter 2011/12'
Sep 12th 2011 10:04AM (Joystiq)That call would be up to the actual rights holder, I'd think. In this case Square Enix. It works differently in these cases, when a Mac developer does the port – I don't know if they consider it the same "product" in the same way that Steam Play encourages.

Sep 12th 2011 9:57AM (Joystiq)The original Mac release was for OS 9, and Aspyr never patched it to support OS X. In fact, the only way to get Deus Ex to run on the Mac is to run the PC version in Crossover or Bootcamp. :-/

Sep 12th 2011 9:56AM (Joystiq)The two largest, smartest, and most influential PC game publishers also ship 100% of their products day and date on Mac. Anyone want to tell Blizzard and Valve they're doing it wrong?
Famitsu leaks circle pad attachment, Monster Hunter Tri G for 3DS [update: first picture]
Sep 8th 2011 9:15AM (Joystiq)Well, I don't have a "mindless justification" for it ... because, well, that wouldn't be much of an justification, would it?
And games aren't linked to tags -- again, I have a hard time taking your criticism seriously when you can't be bothered to do any actual research yourself. Games are linked to game pages, which include the following information about most games in our database: 1) Description of the game 2) Release date of the game 3) Platforms 4) Developer / publisher 5) A list of posts related to the game 6) links to assets for the game, including screens / videos and lastly 7) REVIEW, if one is available, is right there.
Take this post from today, for example:
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/09/07/madden-sells-1-4-million-copies -in-first-week/
Click on "Madden NFL 12" -- you get this: http://www.joystiq.com/game/madden-nfl-12
On that page you have news about the game and all of our coverage of it -- that seems helpful to me, no? We have platforms, release date (out now!), description, pub/dev, and a large module promoting the review, with a score for easy reference.

Sep 7th 2011 9:32AM (Joystiq)Phew! We've been doing this for seven years, along with other major blogs like Engadget, Boing Boing, etc. Just seems wild to me that people don't notice and they actually keep trying the in-article links which, like you said, usually point to our own content.
Like JC said, why shouldn't they? We wrote it, it's the previous narrative thread that readers should and may already be familiar with. Not sure what we're talking about in a post? Why would we link you to a seven page interview in which a Nintendo exec casually mentions something instead of our own news post?

Sep 1st 2011 12:22PM (Joystiq)That's a good idea – I'll look into getting an opt-out tag made for @mobile.
