There's a reason all those republicans are pre 1960s. The Republicans were the liberal party (extremely so) when they were created in the 1850s. T.R split from the Republicans in 1916 as well. Someone needs to study American history more (mostly about how the South switched from Democrats to Republicans). The current Republicans are the party of the South, Trent Lott (who's public admiration of Strom Thurmond is distasteful), and, well, racists. Historical precedent != modern reality.
