The real crime is shelling out $5 to play Pac-Man (released in 1978), which only has ONE maze!

It would be somewhat easier to swallow (albeit, not by much) if it was Ms. Pac-Man - at least we would get some maze variety!

I just hope (and expect) that Sony will push hard on the PS3 and not rely too much on development for the PS2. The last thing this industry needs is to be held back in the last generation.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say in your post. How do you reason that the PS3 will compete well in the "high-end" market?

Would you agree that the 360's poor sales records reflect the fact that the average consumer finds the $400 price tag too high?

If that is the reason behind poor 360 sales, what do you think the PS3 sales are going to be like when it hits the street @ $599?
