Report: Epic Mickey 2 making a splash on PC and Mac
Mar 31st 2012 11:58AM (Joystiq)I´m happy to see that more and more companies are FINALLY getting it, multi-platform is the way to go.....period. Yes there are some games that are created exclusively for a console that sell a lot, but you can count those games with your fingers......the true is that going multi-platform you get more money in the long term, first even if you sell 5, 000 copies (and let´s be honest a good game doesn´t sell that) at 25 bucks, it´s 125,000 additional dollars that they won´t have in their pockets with one console, and pc´s keep giving money even after years of releasing a game thanks to things like steam, some weeks ago vampire masquared was on a special deal on steam and it was the number one seller for a week, i wonder how much extra cash did activision got from a game that is no longer available in the retail market??? many companies complain about losing the possibility to sell games after the release thanks to second hand, well.... steam is one option that gives you that extra cash and for years and years......why to lose that additional opportunity??

Mar 30th 2012 6:37PM (Joystiq)Kid Icarus: Uprising prototype began on Wii and PC
Mar 30th 2012 4:43PM (Joystiq)To be honest i´d rater play Bayonetta on my p.c. with a press start sign than not playing it at all, also in this times engines are virtually ready to run on all main platforms, true some work is needed but it´s not as much as many companies talk about, specially with things like Unreal or Crytek, even Capcom has a engine that works for all platforms, small things like changing a "press enter" can´t really be a reason for not creating a good port for the p.c.
Kid Icarus: Uprising prototype began on Wii and PC
Mar 30th 2012 1:18PM (Joystiq)Whats the surprise???? did anybody really thought that a game for the Xbox, PS3, NDS, 3DS, etc. is developed attaching a keyboard to the console????? ALL games are developed with PC´s and all the programs that are used to develop them are on the p.c., that´s why sometimes the p.c. community gets mad when a game is not released for it too. We all know how those games are created, it´s stupid not to have a version for the p.c. when everything even the engine was developed or created on it.
Team 17's Worms Revolution coming to PC and consoles, built with new engine
Mar 30th 2012 1:12PM (Joystiq)Funny, I yearn for the days when Team 17 was not a one trick pony making the same game for the last 20 years.....really, they should have a statue of Andy Davidson outside their offices, without him it looks like they´d be out of business since their old amiga days, and after seeing what they do when it´s not a worms games (THAT Larry game) we can be sure there´d be no team 17 this days otherwise.
SimCity requires internet connection to play, will be sold outside of Origin
Mar 28th 2012 12:26PM (Joystiq)And it won´t be sold only true Origin, too bad that the "always on" thing is going to use Origin right????? really, do they really think people is that stupid????
Ubisoft hopes to negate the need for DRM with support and content
Mar 25th 2012 8:54PM (Joystiq)I don´t think you have to worry, Rayman Origins so far is the ONLY game i really wanted from UBI, all their other games are garbage and versions, of the version, of the first version, of a game that has nothing new. Rayman is the only good game that UBI has released for a loooong time, good thing it was released without DRM, so far the only UBI game that it looks good is Far Cry 3, nothing else is new or interesting so far.

Mar 25th 2012 8:48PM (Joystiq)well, then you have played no UBI soft games at all on the p.c........
