Most people who visit kotaku are into japanese games. They certainly don't represent the 360 community. 360 gamers don't want jrpgs, ps2 ones do and they'll take them however they can get them. They made the switch because ps3 wasn't doing what it was supposed to but I guarantee the bulk of the 360 community wont even care.

I know a lot of people like Disgaea, but I just can't help but think how much it would be if it actually had next gen graphics.

I think this says it all. I only hope the sales reflect this same ratio so maybe jrpg devs learn to stop wasting their time doing stupid shit like this. And to anyone that thinks rpg's don't matter that much, then why are so many people pissed? To anyone that says rpgs don't sell consoles, they don't when they're on a console that doesn't want them, and not on a console that does. And to those that say "why not just get a 360?" Loyalty isn't a sin, and I wont reward microsoft for releasing a sub par console and then making up for it by throwing money around. We're talking consoles not a freakin tv, a lot of money will be spent down the line which makes it an investment. I don't care what games the 360 gets I just don't trust MS and I wont support their console because I DON'T LIKE HOW THEY DO BUSINESS.

This situation is typical, it just seems worse due to the fact that the 360 is buying up exclusives. We'll get some jrpgs 2009 and 2010

I stopped reading at "many were already sick of developing on PS2." Who wants to keep making rpgs for a console with a huge install base that plays them, right? I mean the previous xbox was soooo big in japan it was a sure thing!

Atlus is too busy making 360 games...traitorous scum. Was that a giant crab I saw?

And by the time that happens the PS3 will be the same price as those other two consoles. The average consumer may not be too crazy about having to buy a 720 just a few years after getting a 360. Microsoft and Nintendo will need to come out with new consoles sooner just to match the PS3 in my opinion.
