Stardock hires Civ V designer Jon Shafer and fantasy writer Dave Stern

@wcarnation no, haven't played the new Civ, but I am a nerd. The point was ... what has this guy done to be considered "acclaimed"? Nothing.

Stardock hires Civ V designer Jon Shafer and fantasy writer Dave Stern

Outside of the press release, Dave Stern is not "acclaimed". His résumé is about as pedestrian as you'll find - adaptations and other contract work. Has this guy created an original world? This is a good fit for a video game company and he'll be an asset, but he's no great shakes.

Joystiq Top 10 of 2010: Limbo

"If there was a common complaint levied against Limbo, it's that it was too short. But how do you measure the length of an experience you can never shake ... even if there are parts of it you may sometimes want to?"

You can replace "Limbo" with "Heavy Rain" and this is still accurate (at least for me).

The accent was terrible, but the tone, volume and delivery of "JAYSON!" was dead on.

Very fun game, my son love it "Daddy, let's terrorize some villagers." Doesn't get much better for a six year old.

Costume Quest review: Anything can happen on Halloween

This is a game for ore developed readers (let's say third grade and up) and the words are too fast for them. Also, this isn't a game to play with your kids - it's single player. Costume Quest has great style, but really isn't aimed at children.

Sounds like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 2, episode 5 "Halloween". Everyone is turned into their costume on Halloween.
