Sony's 400-disc Blu-ray Mega Changer reviewed, huge

Sep 2nd 2009 5:22PM (Engadget)
That's what people said when DVDs came out as well. I now have well over 1000 and I have, by no means, a large collection.

Xbox 360 price drops go global on Friday, it's official

Aug 27th 2009 5:53AM (Engadget)
I suspect not. In the UK the Elite is only £7 more than the lowered US price once you take VAT into account, so looks like the US price is coming down to match the rest of the world.

Pity, I want to replace my 20Gb 360 to get HDMI (for neater cabling purposes) and a colour more fitting with the rest of my components.

Flip Video Ultra HD video review

Apr 30th 2009 6:37AM (Engadget)
Seconded. I would like to see if this and a copy of iMovie 09 gives usable results. Partly because the wife really likes the idea of the Flip to throw in her bag and partly because I'd like to see how iMovie deals with this sort of shaky cam footage.

Mirror's Edge DLC coming Jan. 29

Jan 13th 2009 1:59PM (Joystiq)
I think Nintendo will be wanting to know how Shadow Mario got into this game and stole Faith's F.L.U.D.D.

Microsoft hints at new mice: "Say Goodbye to Laser"

9th September? So if rumours are correct the announcement will be completely overshadowed by Apple press event.

Traveller's Tales assembling more Warner Bros. LEGO titles

Aug 7th 2008 3:10AM (Joystiq)
I guess this LEGOs thing is an American tradition? I've never heard anyone in the UK add an s to it. Do you also refer to playing with Meccanos? (Do you even have Meccano?)

LEGO is the name of the company that makes a particular type of construction bricks. The singular is a LEGO brick and the plural is LEGO bricks. You play with LEGO.

Fortune Magazine: Possible Jobs Successors

Jun 24th 2008 4:10PM (TUAW.com)
I think Jonny Ive is going to stick to what he does best, but Forstall has been getting a lot of floortime recently. I was watching his speech at WWDC and, as Matt said, his bit on the task manager was very Jobs - voice of reason whilst belittling your competitors. I think you'll see Jobs take more of a back seat over the next few years at the conferences as he did at WWDC and let the heir apparents make themselves known to the press and public to ease the transition.

Billyuns and billllyuns of songs

Jun 20th 2008 4:32PM (TUAW.com)
Is that really a great number? 5 billion songs sold and (according to wikipedia) over 170 million iPods sold, which means less than 30 songs/iPod. I'm not sure the music industry is too impressed at the iPod only generating them 2-3 album sales each.

Not that I care for the music industry, but 5 billion isn't a ton of songs compared to the number of units.

App Store available on June 27th?

Jun 11th 2008 9:17AM (TUAW.com)
I'm inclined to think they would want to get the 2.0 release out to the 6 million odd gen 1 iPhones before the release of iPhone 3G, purely to ease the load on the servers. Otherwise you have all the 1st gen trying to download the new firmware as well as all the new 3G customer trying to register their phones.

Let's talk about those Hummingbird ads ...

Same here - totally unaware until this post. Opera gives me warm fuzzies.
