The accepted definition of Art is as follows, "The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power".

It mentions no requirement for a deepness of thought, and Journey is certainly beautiful. You're making the misconception that Art has to have a deeper meaning. Art is how you interpret it and of course there will always be that section of society who insist on interpreting every single piece they come across as some sort of new philosophical ideal.

Really, it's what you make of it and I appreciate Journey for it's beautiful aesthetics and for giving me the chance to play something a bit different for a change. Remember that an artist is not some kind of all-mighty creator, sneering down upon the common folk. Following the principles of Bauhaus manifesto the artist is described thusly:

"There is no essential difference between the artist and the craftsman. The artist is an exalted craftsman."

So take it as you will. I politely but firmly disagree.

Apple patent application reveals ad-supported OS, desktop Armageddon

Well ok then, I'll continue to pay for my OS and live without that restriction. It's a bit like Spotify and iTunes. I like to pay for my own music and listen to it uninterrupted but some don't mind the restrictions of Spotify because the music is free.

When I say more persistent and well thought out, I am of course referring to the Eurogamer review.
