The Killers DLC also coming to Rock Band Music Store

Nov 16th 2008 4:47PM (Joystiq)
you are not the only one. hot fuss was a great album, i truely love it. But i do feel sam's town was better from start to finish. it also had more meaning. the lyrics really meant something on sam's town.

this is not my ideal trackpack for the killers, but i havent heard a song by them i don't like so any killers is great for me. Smile Like you mean it seems like an odd choice. good song, but not as good as some others from hott fuss, and not that big of a single.

spaceman is a freaking awesome song! i like human, but i have no idea why they chose it for the first single from Day & Age.

hopefully this will sell really well so that we can get all these things that i've done, read my mind, bling, or even maybe a song or two from Sawdust.

in addition to the slightly faster load times, no spinning drive, and running cooler i have also read that it reduces graphical pop-in.

Metareview - Max Payne (the movie)

Oct 18th 2008 9:19PM (Joystiq)
i really liked the movie a lot. don't really see what is to hate.

i thought it was suprisingly slow, but it developed the story very well. there were some really cool action sequences and i thought marky mark was good.

fuck all you.

Joystiq Interview: StarCraft 2 Lead Producer Chris Sigaty

Oct 11th 2008 9:49PM (Joystiq)
are we really thinking they are gonna charge equal for each copy people?

im really worried about this...but i do have trust in blizzard. so im not gonna jump in and say "fuck you blizzard!" just yet.

maybe it will end up like this:

game one-terran campaign, 30 hours, multiplayer 40-50$
game two-zerg campaign expasion, 30 hours, multiplayer updates, $20-30.
game three-protoss campaign expansion, 30 hours, multiplayer updates, $20-30.

a lot of people are talking about it like they are gonna release three games at once and make you buy em all. that wouldnt make any sense. maybe people are right in saying that they wanna actually let us play this game at some point so they can release it sooner and then have expansion packs, which are no big deal. people are USUALLY excited about expansion packs.

but i do hope that the multiplayer updates come as free downloads for those who only bought the terran game.

StarCraft 2 to be released as a trilogy

Oct 11th 2008 12:59PM (Joystiq)
mmmm...ya. im gonna try not to say anything until more details emerge.

lets stop for a moment, and look at blizzard's track record here. its pretty stunning. lets also realize that when vivendi and activision merged blizzard said they would continue development almost as if nothing had even happened.

maybe it really IS that massive and epic and enormous that they arent really screwing us. maybe each campaign is atleast 25 hours. i think we just need to wait and see about release dates, prices, gamelength, multiplayer, and packaging.

plz don't let me down blizzard.

Max Payne director upset about potential R-rating

Sep 8th 2008 7:05PM (Joystiq)
even though the trailer was mostly confusing...i actually think it looks AWESOME. i work at amovie theater and we have a REALLY badass Max Payne poster that i want to steal...

plus, mark wahlberg is pretty cool.

and i dont think its a big deal if they cut it down to pg-13. anybody remember how awesome live free or die hard was even after being brought down to pg-13? and then those that wanted more got the unrated so it works out pretty well.

and as for the dark knight, i dont get why people say it should be r rated. there were no fuck words, or even shits. the violence is almost non-existant. almost each instance of violence is implied, but not seen. the mood and the emotional intensity is very strong and dark, but i dont think that should warrant an R.

a lot of people look at what a film is rated pg-13 for and are comfortable with taking a 9 year old. dark knight was one where i think you really should be of age. but then everybody is raised around different films and some people deal with it better than others.

wow. i just typed MUCH more than i intended to.
