Prince of Persia Classic jumping onto PSN

Oct 10th 2008 3:58PM (Joystiq Playstation)
I hope you still have to pick out the 3rd letter of the 2nd word of the 5th sentence of the manual to advance to level 2 in this version. :P

I guess I will join the crowd and say that the original is my favorite. :P

I'm gonna say that I like the box art for Mega Man 2 if only for the reason that it's the only one I recall owning. Yeah, it was a sad childhood. That's why you should feel philanthropic and gift me Mega Man 9. :)

Well, I just browsed the gallery and randomly clicked on this one: http://nintendo.joystiq.com/photos/mega-man-boxarts/1043045/

So that's now officially my favorite boxart. :P

Joystiq tests Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Whoops. Somehow I got myself lost in all the links and didn't realize I was commenting on a really old post that no one will read my responses to. :)

Joystiq tests Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Well, to be fair, if you are comparing to 360/PS3, there's only one "lighsaber slash" button, so it would be a "just mash it" attack there, too. It's not like you don't get lightning or force push in the Wii version.

GC 2008: The mystery of the Force Unleashed

Aug 25th 2008 12:30PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
So after playing the PS3 demo and watching this video, I'd have to say that the graphics on the Wii version are probably good enough to make Wii controls win out over graphics/physics of the PS3/360. Personally, I think Havok is a bit gimmicky. I played the demo 3 times and only once could I get a stormtrooper to grab onto something else, and while it was cool that he was grabbing onto a railing for dear life, it was also annoying because I couldn't throw him into the 3 other stormtroopers behind him. As long as the Wii physics are good enough that I can knock a bunch of enemies over like bowling pins, I think the Wii version gets my money. The only concern I have is the guy in the background repeating "different level design." I hope that's not a bad thing, like shorter/smaller/easier levels.

Mark Rein: Epic seriously doesn't want to make Wii games

Jul 9th 2008 3:02PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
Somebody needs to tell this guy about the famous painter/sculptor Michaelangelo.

Seriously, people, metaphors aren't for everyone. You really have to know what you're talking about before pulling one out of your butt.

How to justify buying expensive SNES games

Had no idea those games were rare. Maybe I should sell my copy of Chrono Trigger. I think I even still have the manual.

WRUP: 'Indiana was the dog's name' edition

Jun 6th 2008 5:09PM (Joystiq Nintendo)
The correct quote is, "We named the dog Indiana."

It doesn't really matter if you get it exactly right, but putting it in quotation marks makes it look like a quote, so maybe you should get it right. :P
