Yeah it was a failure, but for what it attempted to do it's hailed as a trail blazer.

If I recall it was the first console that had any sort of online connectivity. Basically everyone took Sega's idea and did it better. The games on Dreamcast were awful upon release. Outside of the first Sonic game, House of the Dead 2, and Madden 2k I don't think I ever paid for another DC game. I did play Resident Evil: Code Veronica, but the dreamcast controller didn't lend itself to playing that game. After Expendable, I was done with the system.

At the time I hated the console. However in hindsight, it did lead to some changes in console gaming.

EA Made it clear that Mass Effect was a trilogy telling Shepard's story, and if he died in Mass Effect 2 then his story was effectively over. Thus, if he is still alive his story continues. You can't carry the save over if he died.

I wish somebody would list a deal for the 250 GB 360 console. The only deals I've seen for it have been Kinect bundles.

The new EA Curse will be not having a professional career and being drafted in the 3rd round.

I was fine with the video until it turned into a gang up session. Clearly the guy from /gamer hasn't spent a lot of time in situations like this as evidenced by his first question. However, once he got to the end of it he seemed to be holding his own in defending video games, so kudos to him. This wasn't a fair debate as the host himself was not impartial, and he had his own agenda.

However, I think the point brought up about retailers not selling the game was very valid. If the kids are attempting to buy it and failing, then how is it getting into the house for someone to play it? The host clearly didn't see the flaw in that logic. Obviously it wasn't getting into the home, and there isn't a need to buy it.

2008 game I'll play in 2009 - I started playing Prince of Persia but got sidetracked. I finally bought the original Gears of War, so I'm sure I'll get around to Gears 2 in 09.

Blizzard's bread and butter has always been the lore/storyline imo. It's what got me hooked into starcraft. I was just dying to know what would happen next.

Eh this list is kind of shaky. Mario Bros 3 was the best mario game, period. It doesn't make it, but Mario Galaxy does? RE4 makes it, but the original RE doesn't make it? I also believe that Diablo is missing from this list. At least Deus Ex made it. That still remains my favorite to this day.
