Kojima tired of questions about MGS4 on Xbox 360
Aug 26th 2008 4:09PM (Joystiq)So somewhere along the way he changed his stance on this because the previous generation he created from the ground up the MSG2 and MSG3 on the PS2 despite it being inferior to the Xbox.
So let's say that the next xbox will be slightly more powerful than thte PS4 for argument sake. I bet you $500 he will still develop exclusively for the Sony platform. He will change his stance again and state that the 360 is "too difficult to program for and will be a hindrance to his vision" Right?
This guy is nothing but a Sony fanboy. Whether it be because he gets mad cash from them or there is nationalistic undertones that we are unaware of, the guy is a hypocrite and is not beyond reproach.
Kojima tired of questions about MGS4 on Xbox 360
Aug 26th 2008 4:03PM (Joystiq)John Carmack, founder of ID (Doom), said that the only difference in implementing RAGE between the PS3 and the 360 would be storage. PS3 has the upper hand in storage of textures due to licensing constraints that Microsoft does not want to subsidize for multiple disc publishing. Other than that, Carmack even said the 360 is still more powerful in the GPU/CPU arena.
Kojima tired of questions about MGS4 on Xbox 360
Aug 26th 2008 4:00PM (Joystiq)Wait a minute I'm a bigot for suggesting that Kojima himself might be a bigot? I guess I learn something new every day.
Also why is Kojima off limits for some of you? Cliffy B, Jonathon Blow, and Dennis Dyak are a butt of everyone's jokes and no one cares. Yet you pick on Kojima, and you are pounced on faster than vultures on a dead carcass.
I have the right to criticize Kojima, no one who plays as much into video game politics as himself should be above criticism.
Rock the Vote to canvas Xbox Live
Aug 21st 2008 9:34PM (Joystiq)Libertarian how can you not vote for Obama.
Obama: A candidate that has to unfortunately raise taxes on those who
are making $250,000 or more to amend the fiscal disaster that Bush put
us in, but will REINVEST into our infrastructure
-or-
McCain: A candidate who will continue to cut taxes, mostly benefiting
the rich once again due to the same percentage tax break across all
incomes, and not investing into our infrastructure because there is
no money and continuing to borrow from China in order to start
another goddamn war.
I understand your a Libertarian but you really have no choice here.
We are gonna get spent into oblivion with McCain. With Obama yea
taxes will be higher for some who shouldn't even received a tax break
to begin with, but at least your drive to work won't include climbing
over cracks and holes the size of Texas, and you won't be shipped to
Iran due to some draft.
Remember FDR was the most socialist president ever, but he had to be
in order to get us out of the clusterfuck the Depression was. We are
no where near this situation, but you can't expect to spend trillions
of dollars on ideologically broken ventures if there is no revenue
stream.

X3F rallies around Braid, demands your consideration
Aug 10th 2008 2:15PM (Joystiq)Wow! The dumbing down of America continues. I guess guys in this country that have the word ASS in their name are striving to be this country's high priests?
The only unfortunate byproduct of the internet age is that it gives every troglodytic inane mouthbreather a forum to spew their bile amongst a sea of rational discussion.
Put up your Xbox Live gamertag Ass Masterson and put your money where your mouth is. Let's see the the "jewels" that you have played.

Aug 9th 2008 6:17PM (Joystiq)Are they your favorite games because you have a vested interest in the monetary success of said game or did you really enjoy the experience?
Your being a mind troll and its childish to say the least for whatever irrational gripe you have against this game.
I haven't felt as passionate for a game, regardless of its method of distribution or price, in a long long time.
The craft, and effort in this game is original, passionate, and ambitious.
Also there has been no hype for this game, I didn't even hear about it until E3. The hype of this game has come about until after people played it. Making it the first game I have seen in a long time from people that you know actually played the damned thing.

Aug 9th 2008 6:01PM (Joystiq)I am 30 years old and have owned every system from Atari,Nintendo, SNES, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, N64, Xbox, the 360, the gamecube, the Wii, and the PS3. I have played all the greats on those systems and this is by far pound for pound the best game I have played. I still prefer Ocarina of Time due its length, but in the short span that I played this game the emotional cohesion between the gameplay and the story is second to none in gaming.
I work for a living in Southern California, I have a baby and a wife. I am as middle class as they come, and $15.00 for something that gives you 5-6 hours of entertainment and intellectual stimulation. This game provides both, and I think this is the first game that shows and exposes the chasm between two generations of players. Adults who have disposable income and kids who depend on their parents for discretionary income.
Those of you bitching and complaining about the price of the game are doing a disservice to those who feel like spending $15.00 is nothing for a masterpiece.
