Jul 1st 2011 6:58PM (Joystiq)It kind of baffles me that it should be at all difficult to get a game like this, a game not much different to the one released in 1997 but at a higher res, running flawlessly on modern systems. It also kind of baffles me that they didn't just keep building on the older code and features (Armageddon, World Party) when they weren't going to significantly change anything. By now you'd think we'd have physics enabled collapsing structures and land, and any number of other funky additions.
Oh well. Still loads of fun, I just hope the next iteration learns a lot of lessons from this one and maybe has an interface that doesn't look like it was made for the sight impaired (or for iphones or something).
